It’s time! Whether you’re buying for Christmas or simply to thank someone for their support throughout the year that was 2022, we’ve got ideas for nice gifts to give and receive. Every item is less than $50 (it’s been a tough year, right?), and is something we would be genuinely stoked to unwrap. Even a $5 gesture can bring so much love!

1. Micro-gifting via Shouta, from $5
Shouta is an app that lets you creates and ‘micro-gifts’ – essentially a digital gift card with as little as $5 on it, that can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted. The idea is that you can shout someone their next coffee, or a cocktail, while giving them the freedom to choose where they buy that coffee or cocktail. You choose the amount, and it sends the gift card to them instantly.

Same as above but… if they are not really ‘into’ politics? New Philosopher is another one of our favourite interesting magazines, that always has ideas and interviews with people you’ve never heard of but will soon be telling everyone about. The latest issue is available at your newsagent now.

8. Printworks Music Memory Game, $19.95 from The Iconic
A fun one to play after Christmas lunch or while you’re having pre-drinks on New Year’s Eve! It’s literally memory, but matching famous musicians to their very famous song lyrics. Plus, the card design is just gorgeous.

9. Headspace App one-month subscription, $19.99
This is as close as you can get to giving the gift of taking stress away! The Headspace app has hundreds of guided meditations to help you with anything from stress and anxiety, to sleep, productivity or exercise.

10. Single O coffee Mixed Box of Chutes, 10 pack for $20
Single O’s bright orange, affectionately nicknamed ‘parachutes’ delivers the flavour and quality of specialty drip coffee, with the convenience of instant.
